What is anger?
Anger is a powerful emotion that energises us and helps us change things. For some of us anger can be a problem when it is unwarranted, too strong or it interferes with daily life.
Why not take a look at the following 5-minute video by Psychologist Isabel Clarke ...
Stress in the twenty-first century
It seems that stress is on the increase. We can easily find ourselves in difficult situations, driven by strong urges, feelings and impulses.
Stress makes it more difficult to cope, more likely that we'll respond impulsively - and more likely we'll do something we might regret.
Strong feelings can lead to relationship problems, stress and conflict in work, maybe even violence or problems with the law.
New techniques and skills can help us learn to regulate our mood and our emotions. Skills such as mindfulness and emotion regulation can help us ‘surf’ our emotions and control difficult feelings.
We can learn to ...
- Deal more effectively with conflict
- Manage difficult situations at work and at home
- Work more easily alongside challenging people
- Become more relaxed and resilient
- Improve your relationships
- Be more successful and effective
Our anger management classes will be running regularly from early 2013. If you're interested in learning more or in working with one of our skilled trainers, contact Amy by email or 'phone 01492 879907.
